  Amy Elizabeth Freeze, born on the 19th of June 1974 is an American meteorologist on television. She is currently the anchor for Weather Command, Fox Weather.    She was the meteorologist for the weekend at WABC-TV, New York City. She was also on ABC's Good Morning America.    Freeze was the first female Chief Meteorologist at the Fox-owned and operated station WFLD, Chicago, Illinois from 2007 until 2011.

As an infant, she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was only three years older when her parents divorced. Whit, her older brother, is also adopted.    Ravenscroft School was where Procter went to school in Raleigh. While studying at East Carolina University, she became a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was a weather anchor on WNCT TV in Greenville, North Carolina, after which she graduated with degrees in dance and journalism.
