Emily Procter

 American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born October 8, 1968 is also an activist. She played Ainsley Hayes one of the characters in The West Wing's political dramas (2000-2002 (2006), and 2006). Calleigh Duquesne in the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on October 8, 1968. As an infant, she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was only three years older when her parents divorced. Whit, her older brother, is also adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter went to school in Raleigh. While studying at East Carolina University, she became a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was a weather anchor on WNCT TV in Greenville, North Carolina, after which she graduated with degrees in dance and journalism.
